Training Day

Jobedu has always been just as much about the people as much as it is about the shirts. Community pleasing is at the center of Jobedu’s customer service, and in order to transfer our experiences and knowledge to our staff, Meesh and I did many training boot camps for our Jobedu store staff. It was our top priority to make sure the Jobedu experience is as unique and memorable an experience as the products we were making themselves.

The boot camps were made up of a few activities around ice breaking, approaching visitors, maintaining a welcoming store, etc. They happened frequently in order to keep our staff on top of things all the time. One Friday we gathered all staff for another round of boot camps. Meesh ran them through a series of sales simulations, exercises, and drills, and finally sat the staff down on the sidewalk in front of the store to give them our concluding remarks.

As we spoke to them on that sidewalk, a limo pulled up to the store and parked in front. Little did they know, It was for them.

I don't think I’ve ever seen a happier bunch. They rocked out in the limo all over Amman. Blasting music, dancing and partying their heads off. It was reminiscent of the coolest pre-prom party ever. After a long cruise, we ended “the training day” like any good party should end: eating Chinese take-out.

Needless to say, traffic to the career section of our website went through the roof that night.

Limousine rental cost: $700

Chinese: $100

Happy Team: Priceless.
